Encounter The Costume College

There’s serious about something and then there’s SERIOUS.  When I encountered the Costume College run by Costumer’s Guild West, it was time to go all caps.  This is a costuming event that earns it’s capital letters for SERIOUS, and one that I profiled.  Fortunately the Dean, Natalie, was kind enough to let me interview her.

Frankly, the convention is a case study in taking an interest and treating it in a very serious, organized manner.

A Bit Of An Update

Things got crazy-busy lately, as you may have guessed.  Slowly getting my head above water, so let’s do a roundup.

  • The print books of the Fanart and Cosplay Focused Fandom books are formatted – but I’m waiting for them to reach their “final” state.  It’s a bit complex.
  • I am looking into returning to vLogs – mostly because I can just use Keynote’s record function and make them fast and easy and fun.  It’ll be less spectacular, but also easier!
  • There will be a podcast coming up from me and some friends – stay tuned!
  • The newsletter has been scaled back to more a general update since most people didn’t seem to want a large newsletter anymore.
