Curry Diary 7/22/2013: Milestone Curry #3

Well the last time I made curry, I experimented with mixing the Maple Syrup into the roux, not the broth.  It changed the flavor, and got me thinking.  The roux is where the flavors really combine, so what else should go in there?

So this time, I added the cocoa powder to the roux.  Did it make a difference?  Yes, enough to call it a Milestone  It’s a more subtle improvement than I got from adding the Maple Syrup to the roux, but it is a definite improvement.

Site Update 7/22/2013

I know, I know I’m not posting much here but updates.  Sorry, but the new job, catching up, etc. is keeping me busy.  Also I’m trying to take time to get out.

So let’s get to it!

MuseHack is going to try it’s first “Want/Need” posting for talent this Friday.  We’ve gotten some promising responses and I want to see where we can take this.  We’re also adding some new talent, and doing an experimental “Hackathon” – more on that later!

Seventh Sanctum‘s redesign is making progress, though I’m actually a bit stumped on the forms/buttons and have gotten some pretty interesting advice I’m processing.  The new design will be cross-device friendly if I manage it right, with larger fonts, a better layout.

I’m signing up with at least one more con to speak, maybe more, and I’ll keep you informed.  I’m kind of happy not everyone wants me to do only career stuff – it may be my specialty, but still . . . gets a bit boring after awhile.

The next book is outlined.  I may not talk about it much since it may be up to six months away.  Sucker’s gonna be huge . . .

I’ve been doing some more coaching lately, but do have open slots, so if you need some help, let me know!
