How Cable Companies Can Adapt . . . Maybe

So I killed my cable.  Dead.  Gone.  No more.  Hulu, Netflix, and gizmos for me, thanks very much, that’s how I’ll get my video.

So now, based on my experience that cable is unnecessary (and financially unsound) for most households, what can cable companies do to become something more modern and useful?  What does it mean for us?

(This, by the way, assumes said companies will embrace change.  Cable companies have ,at times, followed in the steps of others, but I can’t say they’ve actually been enthused or active dealing with change.  But one can hope.)

Federal Complaints Over Mass Effect 3’s Ending?

Nope, not kidding.

If you haven’t been following the Mass Effect 3 saga, without spoiling the ending, a lot of people aren’t happy.  Now it’s to the point where there’s a complaint to the FCC and the BBB.  Someone’s going through the alphabet here – and is calling for support.  As I’m seeing a lot of complaints, he may well find allies.

Fired For Wearing Orange

A Happy Hour group bonding effort goes wrong?

Rough story – people apparently fired for wearing shirts that were a kind of bonding thing, possibly because it was associated with a protest.  Or not.  I’m sure this sucker could come out in court.

Presented mostly for craziness, a reminder of why you want to know about where you live (Florida gives people wide leeway in firing), and that you want to make sure you don’t work for jerks.
