A New Experiment At MuseHack!

So we’re trying an experiment at MuseHack.

A lot of times I meet people looking for some geeky jobs. Or maybe they just want an opportunity to hone skills, like blogging or doing art.

I also have worked with a number conventions and everyone talks about a need for talent. Several times I’ve hooked people up who needed art or writing.

So what I’m doing is this – I want to try and connect people via MuseHack.

The idea is this. Every week or so I’ll collect posts from:

A) People who need talent (paid or not)

B) People who want to use their talents and get opportunities.

I’ll post them. Repeat as necessary.

If you’re back in the market doing freelance art, need some people for your con, want a place to blog, I’m going to see about setting up a clearinghouse for people. All I ask is if you get posted, you tell people about it!

Let me know if you’re interested – and contact me if you want in!

Site Update 7/15/2013

Sorry for not having posted much this week, been quite busy at the new job.  If you hadn’t seen, well, I started at Adobe as a Senior Program Manager!  It’s great stuff, the job is just what I wanted, the people are awesome, and I’m getting into the technical areas I wanted (I’m going more cloud and infrastructure).  So I’ve been busy.

This also means I put my writing and the Seventh Sanctum update on hold for a week.  Sorry about that.

The “new” writing project, I can tell you, is more revisiting some other work, updating it, and combining it into something bigger.  You’ll see!

Also have tons of interview at MuseHack – I’ve got them queued out for about two weeks.  I think I’m on a roll!

So I hope to have more later, but let’s just say last week was a bit crazy!

Sharknado Sequel In The Works

There will be a sequel to Sharknado, that oddball film that burned up social media while kicking science in the groin.

This gets The Asylum and their mockbusters, derivatives, and weird b-movies even more attention.  I swear they’re in serious danger of going legit – and frankly jokes aside films like these provide a place to get experience, build a career, re-establish a career, etc.  Just with sharks in Tornados.

If you can’t wait, here’s some suggestions for a sequel.  I’m partial to “Sharkalance.”
